What's Changed

• fix(desktop): display full-resolution covers in the right sidebar (#628)

  Details

  Problem

  The right-hand Now Playing sidebar still stretches trackArtURL() (often a generated low-resolution .webp thumbnail) across its full-bleed cover, unlike fullscreen and Cover Flow.

  Fix

  • Resolve the original/full-resolution artwork for the sidebar, including locally embedded art via trackFullArtURL().
  • Attempt existing provider-specific CDN upgrades (Spotify/Apple/Deezer/Tidal/Amazon/Google/YouTube) and retain the known original thumbnail as fallback.
  • Predecode candidates and prefer real image dimensions so tiny CDN placeholder images are not selected as high resolution.
  • Preserve the artwork beneath the higher-resolution overlay while it loads or if extraction fails, and ignore stale async results after a track/artwork change.
  • Keep the existing MixCovers transition and motion covers unchanged.

  Verification

  • Added scripts/sidebar-artwork-quality.test.mjs for source selection, fallback, track-change safety and CDN ordering.
  • Automated tests and packaged Electron runtime validation were not executed in this environment; confirm through PR CI and playback testing.

  Manual checks

  1. Play a local track indexed with generated .webp art; compare the sidebar with fullscreen.
  2. Play online Amazon, YouTube and Google-hosted artwork and verify sharper covers or thumbnail fallback.
  3. Skip tracks quickly, refresh/reassign artwork, and check for stale-image flashes.
  4. Test with a missing original artwork source and check that the original thumbnail remains visible.
