  Details

  Problem

  LastWave audio now plays, but the add-on's HTTPS artwork field can point to an image that does not decode/load. The desktop search view rendered these URLs directly (a broken-image icon), and the saved ghost track carried the same URL into the player. The backend also normalized a track's format into a single quality string, dropping explicit bit-depth and sample-rate metadata.

  Changes

  • Use the existing safe metadata-artwork resolver when add-on search artwork is missing or fails to load. Only promote an alternative once it successfully loads, so search playback saves the working cover.
  • Recover stale artwork in the player bar, mini-player, and fullscreen player, including tracks already in the queue. Persist a verified HTTPS replacement only for the same existing add-on ghost track and only if its old image URL has not changed.
  • Normalize LastWave-style bitDepth/bit_depth/bitsPerSample and sampleRate/samplingRate (including 44.1 kHz) from search responses, with nested audio/metadata support; preserve explicit resolution when saved to the library database.
  • Display the real 24-bit / 44.1 kHz style catalogue tag when the source supplies those fields. If it only advertises FLAC, display FLAC · Lossless instead of inventing resolution.
  • Add backend and UI-wiring regressions and include them in the LastWave CI workflow.

  Verification

  CI runs backend syntax, addon fixtures, catalogue-quality regression tests, and a Vite build. Authenticated live LastWave image URLs were not used (personal URLs and tokens stay private). Playback transport and HMAC behavior are unchanged.
