Diagnose LastWave desktop failures and restore full-quality library album artwork (#742)
Details
LastWave diagnostics
- Trace add-on search requests: HTTP status/redirects, JSON body shape, normalized results, and cover availability.
- Trace playback from stream resolution through transport selection (progressive, DASH, hybrid), stage/cache outcomes, segment failures, and final Chromium response.
- Correlate new events with existing
[online-stream]decoder/network logs. Log only event types, numeric statuses/counts, and format labels; no search terms, track IDs, signed URLs, HMAC credentials, or content keys. - Add tests to verify useful diagnostic phases and secret redaction.
Album artwork
- Retain cheap thumbnails during initial album card rendering and progressively overlay original-resolution artwork via the same trusted full-artwork endpoint used by the desktop player.
- Use original-resolution art in the Album hero/zoom; preserve thumbnail fallback if the original is unavailable.
- Works with existing indexed libraries and selected
artwork_track_id; no library rescan or database migration needed. - Add a regression test covering old album-row identifiers and large-surface usage.
Validation
- Extend LastWave CI to run backend syntax checks, existing playback regressions and new tests, then compile the Vite renderer.
To diagnose remaining LastWave failure
After installing a desktop build containing this PR, reproduce search and playback once and export the normal desktop log. Inspect
[online-addon-search]and[online-stream]events; the last successful stage identifies the first failing operation.Summary by CodeRabbit
