v4.0.16 - Background tasks in Claude chats, compact, Miyo search and OpenArtifacts improvements

In Agent Chat, Claude now runs subagents and long commands in the background and replies again when each one finishes. Messages you send while it works reach it at its next step, so you can change course without stopping it.

This release also adds /compact command to Agent Chat, improves Miyo search experience and quality, and lets agents publish private OpenArtifacts pages and manage them for you.

• Claude runs subagents and long commands in the background, so you can keep chatting while they work and stop any one of them on its own. (#3767, #3772, #3774)

• Agent edits are easier to review, because the diff looks like your note in reading view. (#3815, #3810, #3651)
  

• With Copilot Plus, ask an agent to publish a note to OpenArtifacts as a private page, share it with people you name, or update it to address their comments. (#3790)

• Agents get Obsidian links, Bases, and Canvas files right more often. (#3653)

• Turn off Auto-attach active note in Settings → Copilot → Basic to start new chats without the open note. (#3750)

🛠️ Bug Fixes

• Saved agent chats pick up where they left off on another computer. (#3654)
• Each agent chat's history saves to a single note, even after the agent restarts. (#3743)
• The API keys Copilot stores in Obsidian's Keychain have stable, readable names that stay the same on every device that syncs Copilot's settings. (#3627)
• Agents save new notes to an outputs/ folder only in project chats. (#3802)

⚠️ Compatibility Notes

• If you sync Copilot's settings across devices, update Copilot on all of them. A device still on 4.0.15 can lose its saved API keys. (#3627)
• Claude chats need Claude Code 2.1.281 or newer. Copilot no longer creates CLAUDE.md files, because Claude now reads AGENTS.md directly. (#3740)
• Miyo search, Miyo document reading, and OpenArtifacts publishing are now built into Copilot, so they no longer appear as skills in Settings → Copilot → Skills. (#3677, #3726, #3790)
