v4.0.15 - Review agent edits, pin and bookmark chats, and report issues from Agent Chat

See exactly what an agent changed in your vault. When Claude Code, Codex, or OpenCode edits notes in Agent Chat, the reply ends with a list of the changed files. Open one to read the note the way Obsidian renders it, so you can check the agent's work at a glance and spot an edit you didn't want before you move on.

This release also lets you pin and bookmark chats, and the agent can offer a drafted report when something goes wrong.

✨ Enhancements

  • When an agent edits your notes, its reply ends with a Files changed card that lists each file with the lines added and removed, and marks files the agent created or deleted. (#3289, #3596)

  • Click a file to see the whole note with deletions struck through and additions highlighted. In long notes, the arrows in the header step through each change. (#3289, #3603, #3604)

  • Open the new ⋯ menu on a chat in Recent Chats to pin it to the top, add it to Obsidian's bookmarks, and more. (#3576, #3579, #3581, #3592)

  • When something goes wrong in Agent Chat, the agent can offer a drafted report for the Copilot team, which you review before you send it. (#3566, #3594)

  • Report an Issue can attach a screenshot of the whole Obsidian window. (#3594)

  • Choose Report error in a chat's ⋯ menu to open Report an Issue with that chat's details already filled in. (#3616)

🛠️ Bug Fixes

  • Claude asks before it writes or edits a note in Safe mode. (#3573)
  • Agent Chat autosave keeps the properties you add to a chat note and the title you give it. (#3589)
  • Deleted Agent chats stay deleted after a reload. (#3567)
  • A denied or failed edit shows Didn't edit on its card. (#3574)

⚠️ Compatibility Notes

  • Breaking: Copilot Plus document parsing is retired. Miyo now reads your documents on your computer, and you can turn it on or off with Miyo document processing in Settings → Copilot → Miyo. (#3578, #3580, #3582)

  • Breaking: The Copilot folder can no longer be a hidden folder such as .copilot. Obsidian doesn't index hidden folders, so supporting them made Copilot larger and less reliable. If yours is hidden, Copilot moves it to the same name without the dot. (#3619, #3620)

  • Agent Chat projects no longer fetch your saved web and YouTube links ahead of time. The agent reads them when you ask about them. (#3583)

  • Copilot now installs Codex (codex-acp) 2.2.2, the version that works best for reviewing Codex edits. (#3572, #3275)

Update Copilot from Obsidian → Community plugins.

Report issues through Copilot settings → Advanced → Report an Issue.
