First public release of Dewarr: reading lists, audiobook discovery, and downloads connected to your library.
Features
- Direct Audiobookshelf integration and library imports.
- Goodreads shelves, CSV imports, and custom lists with tracking.
- Hardcover list syncing.
- Personalized For you page and recommendations.
- Automatic downloads with priorities and preferences.
- MyAnonamouse, Prowlarr, AudiobookBay, and qBittorrent connections.
Quick start
Download the attached compose.yaml, edit the matching database passwords and PUBLIC_URL, then run:
mkdir -p config data
docker compose up -dOpen http://your-server:8000 and create your first account. No setup token is required.
The default setup uses two containers: Dewarr and PostgreSQL. Dewarr handles migrations and background jobs internally. User IDs, ports, and settings are configured inline; no .env file is required.
Installation examples include Docker Compose, Docker CLI, and Docker run. Container images support Linux AMD64 and ARM64.
Upgrading an existing installation
Back up PostgreSQL and your encryption key first. If upgrading from the original four-service setup, follow the migration instructions to preserve your database, credentials, and media mounts.
Early-release notes
- Automatic downloads are disabled by default; configure integrations, routes, and download policies before enabling dispatch.
- Goodreads RSS imports may be partial. CSV imports can fill historical gaps.
