Beta Release
Note: 1.11.0-beta.1 has been withdrawn due to technical issues.
Feature highlights:
Configuration
- Parameter name suffixes have been renamed for clearer profile mapping:
_PRF(formerly_AC): applies to the performance profile.
_BAL(formerly_BAT): applies to the balanced profile.
_SAV(unaltered): applies to the power-saver profile. - Old
_AC,_BATnames still work, since they're translated automatically at runtime, but updating your individual configuration is recommended. Check the output oftlp-stat --cdifffor the occurence of "#> Runtime-translated from ..." to locate affected lines. _SAVparameters have been added to features that did not include them yet
Processor
PLATFORM_PROFILE_ON_PRF/BAL/SAV: some vendor firmwares offer different or extra platform profiles, not just the standard ones. To enable automatic adaptation, the parameters are transformed into space-separated lists of options that are tried sequentially until success. The defaults have been improved:- If available, prefer
balanced-performanceoverperformancein the performance profile. This will reduce fan speed for certain gaming laptops (Issue #838 - Add
