What's Changed

🤖 Your AI assistant can do much more in MoneyMatter

If you connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant to MoneyMatter, it now has 236 tools instead of 114. It can work with subscriptions, budget plans and savings goals, trackers, automations, investments, ventures, loans, vehicles, currencies and imports. You choose which of these groups the assistant gets when you connect it, and accounts, transactions, categories, tags, payees and reports come with every connection. The connect screen counts the tools you've picked and warns you when you go past what some assistants can load.

Already connected an assistant? It now gets only the basics: accounts, transactions, categories, tags, payees and reports. To get the rest back, open Settings → AI → Connectors (MCP), remove the app, connect it again and tick the groups you want.

🧾 Scan a receipt in the iOS app

In the iOS app, take a photo of a receipt to fill in a new transaction. MoneyMatter reads the receipt and suggests the account, payee and category, based on the ones you used for similar purchases.

✨ Other Improvements

  • In the import wizards, hovering a step you've finished shows an undo arrow, so you can tell you can go back to it. A step's name pops up on hover only when the stepper is too narrow to show it.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • An AI assistant you allowed to edit but not delete couldn't unlink a refund from a purchase. Unlinking removes no transactions, so it now needs edit permission only.
  • The FAQ assistant on the MoneyMatter website listed five languages and told self-hosters on ARM, such as a Raspberry Pi, to build from source. It now lists every language and says the ready-made images run on 64-bit ARM. The app itself was not affected.
