What's Changed
📋 Duplicate transactions and "Create more"
Open a transaction in MoneyMatter and click Duplicate (Ctrl/⌘ + D) to start a new one with the same details, dated now. The original stays as it was. You can duplicate transfers between your own accounts too. Duplicate isn't offered for loan payments, transfers to or from an investment portfolio, or transfers where either account is bank-connected.
To add several transactions in a row, turn on Create more next to the Create button in the Add Transaction form. The form stays open after each save and keeps the type, account, date and payment type. Ctrl/⌘ + Shift + Enter keeps it open for a single save.
🧭 Sidebar, languages and bank connections
- You can hide Loans, Investments and Venture from the sidebar in Settings → Appearance. With all three hidden, Accounts becomes a plain link.
- German is available as a language. The community translates it.
- The SimpleFIN connection screen says upfront that it imports bank accounts only. Brokerage and retirement accounts come in as regular accounts, without your positions.
- Enable Banking is closed to new users on moneymatter.app. If you already have an Enable Banking connection, it keeps working. Self-hosted installs keep it too.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Undoing an import from Import History deleted its transactions but left the account's opening balance where the import had moved it, so the balance ended up wrong. Undo now puts the opening balance back and removes accounts the import created, if nothing else is in them. This applies to imports made from this version on. Older imports still only have their transactions deleted.
- The file importers no longer offer bank-connected accounts.
- If you disconnected an account from its bank and connected it back, the transactions synced before the disconnect had no delete option and were missing from reconciliation. They work like bank transactions again, including on accounts you already reconnected. Accounts you never disconnected weren't affected.
- An AI app connected to MoneyMatter could add, move or delete transactions on a bank-connected account, which the app itself doesn't let you do. AI apps now follow the same rules.
- Mark paid on a recurring payment let you create a transaction on a bank-connected account, and you couldn't delete that transaction from the transactions list or reconciliation. Mark paid now offers manual accounts only. Recurring payments set to auto-record into a bank-connected account have auto-record turned off, so use matching for those.
- You could create an account with an empty name. Creating one now requires a name, as renaming already did.
- Typing a date into a date and time field now moves on to the time after four year digits. Before, the year kept accepting digits.
- The Number of installments field said you could leave it blank, but an installment needs a count. The field now shows an example value.
- Enable Banking: the first sync failed for some banks that limit how far back you can request history, such as La Banque Postale with its 90-day limit. The sync now falls back to a shorter period.
