This release introduces the ability to split a single transaction across multiple categories, giving you more accurate expense tracking.
How It Works
- Open any transaction — Click the split icon or "Split into categories" button
- Add category splits — Distribute parts of the transaction to different categories
- Automatic calculation — The main category keeps any unallocated amount
- Optional notes — Add a note to each split for extra context
Example Use Case
A $150 grocery receipt that includes $30 of household items can now be properly categorized: $120 to "Groceries" and $30 to "Household" — all within a single transaction.
Refunds for Splits
Refunds can now target specific splits. If only part of a split transaction is refunded, you can link the refund to the exact category portion.
Other Improvements
- Improved mobile UX with responsive dialogs throughout the app
