Lattice v0.15.8

one hour ago

Highlights since 0.15.7

  • Lattice for Linux (experimental). Each release now includes an x86_64 AppImage, tested on Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04 and Fedora. You need a TeX distribution installed. The AI assistant is off on Linux for now, and the app does not update itself there: download new versions from the release page. Thanks to Stefan Bringuier for the first Linux port.
  • The AI assistant can continue your other Claude Code and Codex sessions. Its history menu now lists the sessions you started for the open folder in VS Code or the terminal, and you can pick one up where you left off.

Notable fixes

  • ⌘-scroll zooms the PDF, and pinching over the PDF no longer zooms the whole workspace.
  • Overleaf: a full sync no longer stops you from creating or deleting files, a stalled download retries, and the download shows its progress.
  • Opening an Overleaf project that a local folder already links opens that folder instead of downloading a second copy.
  • The AI assistant's prompt box stays inside a short panel while you type a long prompt.
  • The AI assistant's rate-limit notice keeps its close button on the first line, reads fully in your language, and shows reset times you can read at a glance.

Changes in v0.15.8

  • feat: compile and test the Tauri app on Linux (#668) (ff03b372)
  • feat: attach a tested Linux AppImage to each release (#671) (674ab214)
  • fix(pdf): zoom the PDF on ⌘-scroll, and keep a pinch over it from zooming the workspace (#674) (325406cc)
  • fix(overleaf): stop full syncs from blocking file writes and failing on large downloads (#675) (eaff5d42)
  • fix(agent): keep the composer inside a short Agent panel while typing a long prompt (#676) (561a3fd3)
  • fix(overleaf): reopen the already-linked local folder instead of downloading a second copy (#678) (37ec2974)
  • feat(agent): list the open folder's Claude Code and Codex sessions from other editors in the Agent panel (#677) (1342779c)

Install (Linux, experimental)

Download the .AppImage below, make it executable
(chmod +x Lattice_*.AppImage), and run it. It needs an x86_64
distribution at least as new as Ubuntu 22.04 (tested on Ubuntu
22.04 and 24.04 and Fedora 45), and your own TeX Live from the
distribution's packages. If FUSE 2 is missing, run it with
--appimage-extract-and-run.

On Linux, Lattice does not update itself — download each new release
here — and the built-in Agent is not available yet.
