- Configurable Channel Up/Down scope — choose between the existing Global behavior or an Active mode that stays within the group, Favorites, or playlist where playback started. Active scopes update immediately after channel customization changes and fall back to Global when no longer valid — by @pedjasa-spec in #58.
🚀 Performance & UX
- Lower-memory loading for large Xtream playlists — stream playlist data through the worker, process channels in bounded batches, and reject non-live entries before constructing their metadata.
- Visible playlist progress — the startup screen now reports how many channels have been processed and retained while large playlists load.
- Bounded EPG memory use — limit retained program data for exceptionally large guides and focus loading on visible channels, reducing the risk of the app being reclaimed on memory-constrained TVs — by @MrX0r in #66.
- Improved responsiveness in large channel lists, group navigation, and EPG mapping by avoiding unnecessary spatial-navigation scans, list rerenders, and repeated mapping work.
- Reduced memory spikes during cache updates and avoided retaining multiple precomputed catch-up URL variants for every archived Xtream channel.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Fixed favorites, hidden channels, ordering, and other customizations potentially stopping persistence after webOS closed an IndexedDB connection while the app was backgrounded. The app now reconnects automatically and displays a warning when a user-data write fails — by @pedjasa-spec in #59.
- Fixed standard Xtream movie and series URLs appearing in the Live channel list.
- Fixed SRT and WebVTT sidecar subtitles not being painted on some older webOS releases by rendering them through a reusable application-created text track.
