There are just two big features in this release, but ones that we're especially proud of:
- Allow editing what fields are available for items, saving the data either into database columns (more difficult to set up) or as serialized data (easy).
- Allow hiding fields in the item editor. Each user can hide the fields they don't need, so that the interface becomes more streamlined and adapted to each person's needs.
The field settings are under Admin -> Fields and are configured per instance. An explanation of the rationale behind this feature and what options are available will follow on the wiki.
