🚀 20251022 Release Notes

If you are using R36Ultra, please use dtb_selector to select R36Ultra and then replace boot.ini. Other devices do not need this operation for the time being.

Fixes

• Fixed speaker issues on all devices.
• Turn off the blue power LED on all clone devices. (Experimental).
• Fixed the refresh rate of the original R36S panel 3 to 60Hz (Experimental).
• Fixed issue where speakers do not mute when headphones are plugged in.
• Fixed issue where startup sound was set to minimum volume on some devices.
• Fixed issue with RK915 causing the device to not enter sleep mode (currently, RK915 Wi-Fi will not work after resume).
• If you want to disable rk915, power off the device after the first boot, edit the firstboot.sh file in the boot partition, and change sudo modprobe -v rk915 || true to # sudo modprobe -v rk915 || true.
• Fixed joyled control failure on XF40H, XF35H, R36T, and K36S devices.

Added

• OTG issues: Testing on devices with an external 8821 USB Wi-Fi adapter revealed that some devices may fail to use it due to insufficient power from the OTG port. I tested the following devices:
  Mymini, R36Max, XF35H, R36Pro, XF40H, K36S|R36T, HG36, R36Ultra, RX6H, XGB36, Clone Type2, Clone Type3, Clone Type4.
  Devices such as R36Pro, K36S|R36T, R36Ultra, RX6H, XGB36, Clone Type3 failed to drive the 8821 due to the power supply issue
• The 8188 Wi-Fi module works fine on all devices.
• Next step: Fix OTG issues.
• Add the 5.10 battery driver to enable Clone devices to use this battery driver. Thanks to @luminaego
• If your device is not exactly the same as mine, you may encounter joystick control errors. Please do not modify the mappings, but instead use joymux-fix to patch the DTB.
• Adjusted naming for Clone devices:
  • Panel 1 → Type 1
  • Panel 8 → Type 2
  • Panel 4 → Type 3
  • Panel 7 → Type 5
  • Please use DTB Tool for uploading original Emuelec DTB to assist with identification.

Known Issues

• RK915 Wi-Fi does not resume after screen off/suspend — reboot required.
• OTG power may be insufficient on some devices.
