Papr v0.5.0
The biggest reader update yet: translate any article with your own LLM, sync with Miniflux, and a cleaner reading experience.
Article translation
- Translate the full article body with your own LLM key. Translations stream in batches as a background job, so you can kick off several articles at once without the UI freezing.
- Flip inline between the original and the translation. Results are cached per language, so you never pay to re-translate the same piece.
Miniflux sync
- Connect to a self-hosted Miniflux server, alongside the existing FreshRSS support — both speak the Google Reader API. Pick your provider from the dropdown in Settings (Miniflux uses an application password, not your account password).
- Existing FreshRSS connections keep working with zero migration.
A leaner reader
- The reader now shows the feed's own content by default. Full-text extraction is opt-in and follows your auto-extract setting.
- Less-used actions — copy link, share, focus mode — moved into a right-click menu in the reading area to keep the view uncluttered.
Removed
- Highlights / Markdown export and the "Send to…" integrations (Pocket, Instapaper, Kindle, Notion) have been removed to keep Papr focused.
Fixes
- Editing a rule that backfills now refreshes the article list, counts, and feeds — and no longer shows a duplicate "saved" toast.
- A failed rule preview no longer falls through to the destructive skip-backfill.
