What's New
Multi-Source Download Fallback
FLACidal now automatically tries multiple download sources in sequence until one succeeds. When Tidal proxies are unavailable (as they currently are due to upstream API changes), the app falls back seamlessly without user intervention.
Fallback chain: Tidal HiFi → Qobuz → Amazon Music → Soulseek
Soulseek P2P Source
A new last-resort download source powered by sldl, the Soulseek batch downloader. Unlike proxy-based sources, Soulseek is a decentralized P2P network; it cannot be broken by upstream API changes.
Setup (optional):
- Download
sldlfrom releases and place it at~/.local/share/flacidal/sldl - Create a free account at soulseekqt.net or via Nicotine+
- Enter credentials in Settings → Sources → Soulseek
Soulseek downloads FLAC only and are serialized (one at a time) to avoid connection conflicts.

Note on Proxy Availability
As of May 2026, all major Tidal HiFi community proxies are returning 403 Upstream API error and Qobuz proxies are also down. This release adds Soulseek as a reliable fallback while the community works on restoring proxy support.
