This version comes with a bunch of new features and changes.
Most visible are design improvements for the menu bar and a changelog, which is shown directly after login. Also, the Host View now ha a modal for the log and will point you to events from other views.
But the Syncer now also supports Single Sign-On (via config switch), and has a rewritten HW/SW Inventory function to prevent problems with bigger environments. The craziest new function is a module that can create configurations of other Syncer modules. So the Syncer now can configure himself based on data he reads from other systems like Checkmk. The Real World Example: He can read the configured distributed sites in Checkmk and then automatically create new folder pools for every site.
And the folder pool function also got some polish, including a command to synchronize your hosts directly with the pool. That's nothing you would need to do often. A consumer instance running Syncer for 4 years now had just 4 wrong seats in an almost daily changing environment.
