[5.0.0-rc.9] - 2026-06-09

Changed

  • Publish and benchmark workflows now mint tokens via the kreuzberg-dev-publisher GitHub App.
All push/release/dispatch jobs in .github/workflows/publish.yaml and the release-creating job
    in .github/workflows/benchmarks.yaml swap secrets.GITHUB_TOKEN and secrets.HOMEBREW_TOKEN
for short-lived app installation tokens generated by actions/create-github-app-token@v2,
scoped per-job and (for homebrew-tap writes) per-repository. Job-level contents: write
permission blocks are removed; OIDC publishers (PyPI, npm, hex, Maven, NuGet, crates) are
    untouched.
  • Bump alef pin to 0.23.55. Picks up Java POM cpd.skip/pmd.skip emission in the publish
profile (fixes Maven Central maven-pmd-plugin:cpd-check deployment blocks on alef-generated
stream-method shims), Ruby platform gemspec now lists all .rb wrapper files in spec.files
(fixes invalid gem structure on RubyGems publish), Zig to_json NULL-guard returns the
function's declared error variant via _first_error(<ErrorSet>) instead of hardcoded
error.Serialization (fixes compile failures on user error sets that don't declare
Serialization), and napi strip_typescript_annotations correctly preserves method-body
opening braces for function-type return annotations plus drops overload signatures and
    optional-parameter markers in emitted service.cjs.

Fixed

  • @kreuzberg/node-linux-x64-musl and @kreuzberg/node-linux-arm64-musl placeholder publishes.
Both platform packages now exist on npm with trusted-publisher rules pointing at
kreuzberg-dev/kreuzberg publish.yaml. rc.8 publish hit npm error 404 on the very first
publish for these two packages because npm trusted publishing requires the package to exist
before the TP rule can bind to it. Placeholder version 5.0.0-placeholder.0 published under
placeholder dist-tag; the rc.9 publish workflow ships real binaries via OIDC.
  • kreuzberg-dev/actions@v1 bumped to v1.8.47. Three composite-action fixes consumed by this
publish: build-python-wheels no longer pre-installs Rust on macOS (cibuildwheel handles it,
removes clippy-preview conflict), build-python-sdist uses an absolute --out path for
split-layout maturin sdist builds (fixes pyproject.toml not found after cd), and
publish-pub gains an OIDC-token plumbing step (currently inert pending pub.dev-side TP
diagnostics, but does not regress h2m's working flow).
