🚀 Android Beta Testers Wanted 🚀

We're running a closed beta (alpha track on the Google Play Store) for the Android app and are looking for testers! If you'd like early access to help test (and suggest) Android features before they go live, join my Google Group here: https://groups.google.com/g/dayglance

Your feedback makes a real difference (crashes, UI oddities, anything else you notice).

v2.4.8

Routines

  • Tappable chips in GLANCE — tap any routine chip to mark it complete (strikethrough + faded). Tap again to un-complete. Works on desktop and mobile.
  • Strikethrough on all-day pills — completed routines now show strikethrough in the timeline's all-day area (desktop header and mobile), not just in GLANCE.
  • Routines moved out of timeline tab — Routines management is now in Settings instead of a dashboard tab or FAB. The GLANCE section is the primary place to interact with daily routines.
  • GLANCE section behavior — shows all scheduled routines (complete and incomplete) so you can track progress; section disappears only when all are done. A small gear icon (bottom-right) opens routine settings.
  • Fix: completion state not syncing across devicesroutineCompletions was missing from the cloud sync merge, so completions made on one device weren't applied on another.
  • Fix: routines disappearing from timeline before midnight — a missing date guard in applyRemoteData could cause an incoming sync to trigger the midnight-reset effect mid-day, wiping today's routines from the timeline prematurely.
  • Fix: delete button not working on phones in the Routines dashboard modal.

Habits

  • Habits FAB removed — habit management is now accessed via the inline gear icon in GLANCE, consistent with routines.
  • Empty state — bordered card (matching routines style), fully tappable, no gear icon.
  • Gear icon moved to bottom-right — avoids overlapping the +N overflow marker when 6 or more habits are defined.
  • Gear icon color — toned down to match the section border color rather than the more prominent secondary text color.
