This release is believed to be stable, and certainly beta quality.
New features include:
- Confirmation of password from Tardis client.
- New ways to acquire the password, other than just a command line option
- Compression of data before sending, and transparent decompression on access
- Compressed messages (bsonc protocol) to improve backup performance over slower links
- Way too many options to tardis
