PS5 UltraPack 2.2.7
Highlights
- About half the temp space for .pkg conversions. Turning a .pkg into a .ffpfsc used to keep the whole game twice on the temp drive. Now each file leaves the temp drive as soon as the image holds it, and the image grows as it is written. On my test package the peak dropped from 2.0x to 1.3x the game's size, also on exFAT. The space check asks for the game plus its largest file, not twice the game.
- Organize keeps every file of a release. Backports for older firmwares land in the game's folder under their backport name, inside the folder they came in, so several of them never collide. Checksums, tools and notes from the release go into the game's folder too. When two files would get the same name, both stay and the second gets "(2)".
- Backports travel with the converted game. A .ffpfsc or .pkg job made from a release puts its backport packages and every other file next to the output, wherever they sit in the archive, instead of trying to convert a backport on its own.
- Buy me a coffee. If you want to support the work, a small link sits at the bottom of the sidebar, in About and in the Help menu. It opens PayPal in your browser.
Fixed
- The progress bar of a .pkg unpack stopped at a third and then jumped to the end. It now follows the real amount written.
- Organize could leave out files of a release: a package it cannot read (such as a backport), checksums, tools or an archive inside the release. They stayed in the unpacked archive and went away with it. Now they go into the game's folder as they are. A file never replaces or skips a different one of the same name; the second gets "(2)".
- Organize could put an item of a source with several games into another game's folder under the wrong name.
- Converting an archive could delete its extras (DLC folders, backports, checksums) before they were copied next to the output.
- If extras cannot reach the output, the app keeps the unpacked archive instead of deleting it.
