Smart Turn for the Free provider
If you use the Free provider, turn on Smart to get your translations sooner. Instead of always waiting out a fixed silence (1.4 s by default), Sokuji checks whether you have finished speaking and moves on about 0.4 s after you stop. If you only pause mid-sentence, it keeps listening.
To turn it on: in Settings, under Speech Mode (Auto), click VAD Settings and choose Smart. It downloads a 31 MB model once and works with the WebGPU speech recognition models (#604).
Improvements
- Restore defaults for the Free provider's VAD Settings (#608).
- The desktop subtitle bar's exit is now a labelled Return to main window button; Esc works too (#606).
- A system audio capture that fails to start now says why (#607).
- Diagnostic logs show what ended each sentence, Smart Turn included (#609).
Fixes
- The desktop subtitle bar no longer fades while the pointer rests on it (#606).
