• ✅ chapter merges are verified by their audio before the chapter files are cleaned up

  • a merged book that lost audio (e.g. a chapter read short) keeps its source files; a merge with a broken timeline falls back to organizing the files individually. .aac and VBR MP3 books without a Xing header now merge with correct chapter markers. Recommended update.
