Farewell App V1, Hello App V2

All Tidy 5e applications are now Application V2. You will see numerous style differences, some of which are unintentional. In time, we'll be getting everything polished into something better than it ever was with the UI overhaul.

⚠️ Warning
Because Tidy is no longer App V1, and it no longer inherits the legacy app V1 sheets, you may discover some module integrations no longer work. Let me know with a github issue or on the community discord, and I'll work with the module authors to try to restore compatibility.

Lots of Changes

  • Sheets can now have their theme individually set in Sheet Configuration (light / dark themes).
  • Legacy sheet three-dots menus and the Light/Dark theme dropdown are gone, a result of switching to App V2 / Theme V2 . You can find the Tidy sheet menu items in the header Three-Dots menu.
  • Character, NPC, and Vehicle sheets now use Play/Edit mode like the new Quadrone item sheets and the system default sheets.
  • Sheet Theme, Default Theme, and "Always Unlocked for GM" settings are now gone. If you were a user of the "Always Unlocked" feature and find it essential, let's talk. It would need to be reimplemented from scratch due to moving to Play/Edit mode. A world script alternative might be more appropriate.
  • "Set Tidy as Default" Item Sheets now set the Quadrone item sheet as default.
  • In Theme Configuration, you can now simply clear any theme colors you don't want to customize, and the default will be used. This allows you to do something like specify just an accent color while leaving everything else untouched.
  • Streamlined and simplified how theming is handled in the classic sheets.
  • The Tidy Flag "allow-edit" is gone. The sheets now all use Play/Edit mode.
  • Fixed: The Actions tab would crash when it features an item with a possible activation value.
  • Fixed: Condition labels were missing on the effects tab.
  • Fixed: Character rest buttons were not working.

Localization

  • Polish updates, thanks to Lioheart!

Remarks

The full transition to Foundry 13 / dnd5e 5.0 was massive. Along the way, we lost a few bells and whistles. Some were simply no longer relevant based on the direction everything is going. For other features, like Tidy custom theming, hightouch and I have plans to make something really nice for the UI overhaul. However for now, it has been trimmed down a bit, and with how robust Foundry Theme V2 is, it is clear that Tidy's old theme configuration is showing its age. So, it time to do something new.

Going through to modernize, pare down, and streamline the result of all my many late nights of work was quite an experience.
