What's new in 1.0.1
- Fixes the crashes some FM-1s had with 1.0.0: a red MELODEE CRASH screen, on some units every
minute or so, sometimes ending in update mode. On those units the FM-1's second core now and then
reads memory wrong. Melodee now checks every job it hands to the second core and never runs one it
read wrong. If the second core misreads, faults or stops answering, it is switched off and the
first core plays every voice, with no crash or freeze; PROPHET then plays up to five voices
instead of eight. Such a unit stays on one core until it is switched off and on again. Units
without the fault keep both cores. - No crash loop into update mode: after a crash in the first 30 seconds, the next start runs
on one core.
Install
Connect the FM-1 by USB and open the web installer in Chrome or Edge. The installer saves a full backup before updating. For a local install, run python3 tools/fm1_install.py melodee-1.0.1.fwsc. The installed release reports FM-1_91001.

Validation
The release commit passed the dual-core and second-core worker host tests. On a healthy FM-1, each failure was injected on purpose: a misread job, a job at address 0, a job that never returns, and a crash in the first 30 seconds. Each ended with the audio running on one core. An affected unit has not tested this release yet.
