This is the first alpha release of Kata Containers 2.0 development cycle. It mostly contains the work that has been done for Kata Containers 2.0, namingly:
- repository consolidation (runtime and agent repositories are moved to kata-containers)
- rust agent as the default (only rust agent is included)
- ttrpc as agent protocol (runtime and agent are both converted to using ttrpc to talk to each other)
The alpha releases are provided for Kata 2.0 early preview. The packaging system for 2.0 is still WIP so only a static tar ball is provided. And the initrd image has known issues and please test with the clear linux based rootfs image.
