This release mostly introduces a big rewrite to backend architecture. But there is still some new stuff available.

If you are used to having two shelves, one for your personal ingredients and one for your bar, keep in mind that this is no longer the case with this release. The only thing initially available is bar shelf. User shelves will be slowly migrated to new user multi-inventory system. If you want to keep that functionality, wait for one of the next releases.

Breaking changes

• Removed Moderator role
  • Existing moderators will be migrated to Admin role
• Removed user based shelf → replaced with multi-inventory per member
  • Data is migrated to member_inventory table, members can now have multiple named inventories
  • Shelf routes moved: /members/{id}/inventories/* and /bars/{id}/inventory/*
  • WIP: UI integration still being tested
• users route prefix has been changed to members
• Profile endpoints reorganized:
  • DELETE /profile now deletes user account (was DELETE /users/{id})
  • POST /profile/change-password added (was POST /password-check → removed)
• Removed GET /{id}/memberships and DELETE /{id}/memberships from bars endpoint (now handled via members endpoint)
• Removed DELETE /{id}/memberships/{userId} from bars endpoint
• GET /{id}/stats from bars endpoint has been replaced by a stats prefix with specific endpoints (totals, taste, ingredient-distribution, top)
• PUT /{id}/cocktails for collections has been renamed to sync
• Reworked how menu categories are stored
  • Menu request payload is now updated
• Response of POST and PUT /ingredients no longer returns the whole object
• Removed POST /images/{id} (update) and GET /images (list) endpoints
• Removed explore/* routes (consolidated into public/* endpoints)
• Removed MCP server
• Shelf/favorites routes reorganized:
  • Moved GET /users to GET /members
  • Removed GET /bars/{id}/memberships
  • Moved POST /bars/{id}/memberships/{userId} to POST /members
  • Moved PUT /bars/{id}/memberships to PUT /members/{userId}
  • Moved DELETE /bars/{id}/memberships/{userId} to DELETE /members/{userId}
  • Moved shelf ingredients/cocktails/favorites/recommend to /members/{id}/inventories/* and /bars/{id}/inventory/*
  • Moved /{id}/cocktail-favorites for members

New

• Added ingredients/{idOrSlug}/extra endpoint showing unlockable cocktails
• Added is_bar_inventory_aware to menu items
  • Shows if menu item availability depends on bar inventory
• Added is_enabled to menu category
• You can now add amounts and units to ingredient parts
• Added author field to cocktail recipes
• OpenAPI docs now use Scalar UI (replaces Elements)
