github kajisho5/ffmpeg-skill v3.1.5

Automated release: version and notes generated from pull requests merged since 3.1.4.

Fixed

  • Files a tool writes or removes itself had escaped the output guards (#408, the class of #111,
    #173, #292 and #382):
    • waveform.py --title/--srt/--text removed <out>_vis / <out>_titled after the run whoever
      had written them, so an input or a file of the caller's with that name was deleted. The
      intermediates are now hidden, pid-named siblings of the output.
    • --plan FILE (every tool) replaced any file, the input included, without --overwrite.
    • graphics.py's ASS file, caption.py --write-srt/--write-ass, verify.py --report and
      render.py's <stem>_pack.md could replace the input or an existing file; a missing directory
      was a traceback that the dry run did not predict.
      All of them are now refused as outputs are (output_is_input, output_exists, a missing directory)
      before the first file is written.
  • Paths that ffmpeg read differently from the skill's guards (#408):
    • a % in a single image's name was expanded by image2 as a sequence (look -o 'shot%d.png'
      overwrote shot1.png, overlay --image 'logo%d.png' drew logo1.png); single-image outputs
      pass -update 1 and still inputs -pattern_type none;
    • on Linux and macOS a backslash in a name was turned into / in filter paths and concat lists,
      so the file could not be opened (or a font silently fell back); it is escaped instead, and the
      conversion stays Windows-only;
    • a relative filter path starting or ending with a space lost it; the space is escaped;
    • a one-letter x:name.mp4 off Windows passed as a drive letter and then failed in ffmpeg as
      "Protocol not found"; it is refused as a URL with the ./name hint.
  • Side files and paths get the output guards (#408) (#413)
