github kajisho5/ffmpeg-skill v3.1.2

Automated release: version and notes generated from pull requests merged since 3.1.1.

Fixed

  • A build without libass (Homebrew's plain ffmpeg) failed caption.py with an unclassified
parse error ("No option name near ...") after a --dry-run that passed, and render.py's
caption stage the same way. caption.py (and graphics.py's libass route) asks the build for
the filter first, dry run included, and refuses with kind: ffmpeg, reason: filter_missing
and the fuller-build line; the subtitle path is passed as subtitles=filename= / ass=filename=,
so a run that still reaches ffmpeg gets "No such filter" (#393).
  • look.py on a build without drawtext failed its default sheet while doctor called look
usable. The sheet is drawn without timecode stamps, recorded as fallback look_no_drawtext and
    a notes line (#394).
  • Emoji that libass drew as empty .notdef boxes (Apple Color Emoji on macOS) were reported as
    emoji_monochrome with verified: true. doctor's fonts.emoji gains libass_glyph, from a
render compared with a code point no font has (a --fonts-dir is searched too); when it is
false and no emoji assets resolve the mode is none (png with assets): caption.py --emoji auto leaves the emoji out of the drawn text with an
emoji_not_drawn warning, as on a machine with no emoji face, and --emoji mono refuses (#395).
  • An SRT given to caption.py --text (or render.py --cues) was burned in line by line, cue
numbers and timing lines included, as verified: true. A bare A --> B timing line marks the
file as an SRT and is refused with a pointer to --srt (kind: input) (#396).
  • cut.py kept one audio track of a source with several, silently, on a stream copy too. The
result says so: dropped_audio_streams, an audio_tracks_dropped warning and a notes line (#397).

Changed

  • docs: SKILL.md restructured, no behavior change. Quick start, Workflow 0-8, ask/assume, the
does-not-decide line, the report template and the request table stay; the long forms moved
    unchanged to new references/flags.md, workflow.md, report.md, requests.md and
timestamps.md (shipped in the npm package). The description is three sentences.
  • Fix #393-#397: lean builds, tofu emoji, SRT as --text, dropped audio tracks (#399)
  • docs: SKILL.md restructured, no behavior change (#392)
