Automated release: version and notes generated from pull requests merged since 2.17.4.

Added

  • A result says what was measured, how far, and what was not. A verification step that measures a property now carries property, expected, measured, delta, tolerance and the provenance of the expected value. A failed step carries attribution: unresolved. Every writing tool's result lists the output properties it did not measure as unverified, for example caption's rendered_placement and sync's lip_sync, and the contract carries the same list per tool as unverified_properties. These are the co-reported items of the Verification-Driven Coding paper.
  • SKILL.md tells the agent what verified does not cover. The report names in Notes: any unverified item the user would assume was checked, and a step with attribution: unresolved is reported, not re-run. Without that, a result that says verified passes on as more than it measured.

Fixed

  • A cut that loses its video is no longer verified (#367). On some MPEG-TS sources ffmpeg's input seek drops the whole video stream, and cut.py returned an audio-only MP4 as completed, verified: true, with no note. It measured duration and start skew but never the output's streams. cut.py, join.py and export.py now add a streams step that compares the output's video and audio with the input's, allowing for what the operation was told to drop (an audio extension, a GIF). A missing stream fails the step and the result says verified: false.
  • join.py says which clips got generated silence. A clip with no audio stream is joined over anullsrc silence, which is right, but the result said nothing about it. audio_substituted and notes now name those clips.
  • One true-peak tolerance. loudness.py allowed +0.1 dB over a dBTP ceiling, check.py +0.05 dB and export.py none, so the same file could pass one tool and fail another. All three use _platforms.TP_TOLERANCE_DB (0.1 dB), the step reports it, and check.py's true-peak row shows it.
  • Results carry what was measured, how far, and what was not; a cut that loses its video is not verified (#370)
