What's new in Kiosk Satellite v0.4.0-beta
New: Wake Word Tester
A live diagnostic for wake word detection, under Settings > Voice Satellite > Wake Word Tester. It shows a real time chart of the detection score against the trigger threshold, plus running counts of hits, near misses, and inference latency, so you can see exactly why a wake word is or is not triggering.
- A dropdown selects which wake word to watch. Every wake word loaded for the session is listed, along with the stop word, and the active engine (vsWakeWord, microWakeWord, or openWakeWord) is shown alongside.
- For vsWakeWord, the log spells out the phonemes the model actually decoded on a near miss, so a miss reads as "heard this, wanted that."
- Live detection is suppressed while the tester is open, so testing never fires a real voice interaction.
- A copyable log captures every hit and near miss for sharing.
New: External pages in dashboard rotation
Dashboard view rotation can now include external web pages, not just Home Assistant dashboards. External pages load in an overlay above the dashboard, so the Home Assistant session and wake word detection underneath stay fully loaded the whole time.
- New "Pause rotation on interaction" setting: touching the screen pauses rotation for a configurable number of seconds.
- Rotation also pauses fully during a voice interaction and resumes once it ends.
