What's new in Kiosk Satellite v0.31.0-beta
New Feature: Gestures
Map touch gestures to actions: 2 to 4 taps in a corner, corner holds, 2 or 3 finger taps and holds, or an ordered corner sequence that works like a knock code. Actions cover:
- Kiosk Satellite (go to a dashboard view, open a web page, show a camera view, show the Sendspin player)
- Android (open another app, open a deep link, open Android Settings)
- Home Assistant (call a service, run a script, trigger an automation, fire an event)
Everything is configured on the new Gestures settings section, on the device and in the remote admin alike.
Keep in mind that each gesture is observed rather than intercepted, so the dashboard webview keeps behaving exactly as before. Gestures work whether or not kiosk mode is on; a locked-down tablet can opt out with the new Disable Gestures switch in Kiosk Mode settings, and the classic exit gesture is unchanged.
