What's new in Kiosk Satellite v0.25.1-beta
Remote Admin polish
- Quick controls got a proper look. The bare text buttons are now tiles with an icon in a colored disc, matching the design language of the navigation rail, with a small press animation.
- Go to view replaces Load URL. The dashboard now offers a picker of your Home Assistant dashboards and their views, the same list the view rotation and the MQTT Dashboard select use. Picking one navigates the kiosk straight there, dismissing the screensaver or any camera view on the way.
- The browser tab is named after the device. The page title now reads "[Device name] - Kiosk Satellite Remote", so with several kiosks administered side by side the tabs are tellable apart at a glance.
Smoother chimes
Short sounds like the wake and done chimes are now decoded once and played from memory instead of spinning up Android's full media stack for every play. Each chime used to cost a dropped frame on weaker devices, plus a burst of CPU to set up and tear down a decoder; both are gone, and the chime volume, routing and reactive bar behave exactly as before. Text to speech is unaffected, and on some devices the reactive bar now animates during chimes where it previously stayed dark.
