Optimizations: Pause dashboard during screensaver (experimental)
A new optimization toggle in Home Assistant Configuration > Optimizations stops the dashboard WebView from rendering while the screensaver covers it, so the browser no longer burns CPU and GPU drawing a page nobody can see. Only drawing stops: the Home Assistant connection stays fully active the whole time, entity updates keep flowing, and wake words, voice interactions, announcements and timers from the Voice Satellite integration keep working exactly as before. The dashboard is drawing again before the screensaver lifts, so waking shows the live page instantly.
On a Galaxy Tab S8 showing a busy dashboard with a clock screensaver, app process CPU dropped from 152% to 57% of one core, the WebView renderer from 130% to 35%, GPU usage from 70% to 0% and the CPU ran over 20°C cooler. Gains scale with how busy your dashboard is: mostly static dashboards, or ones already using the update filter, will see smaller savings. The toggle is off by default and this feature is experimental, so please give it a try and report any issues you run into. Turning it on also enables "Keep connected in the background" automatically.
