What's new in Kiosk Satellite 2026.9.81
This release makes Weather Mood start cleanly on the current weather, restores accurate screenshots with live video, keeps the Overview screenshot in step with Now Playing and the intercom and stops the ADB update helper from filling storage on older Android versions.
Improvements
- The Overview screenshot follows Now Playing and the intercom. The remote admin takes a fresh screenshot when the Now Playing view or the intercom's Call a kiosk or call screen opens or closes, the way it already did for the screensaver and camera views. A Now playing or Intercom badge sits at the top right of the screenshot while either one fills the screen.
Fixes
- Weather Mood starts on the right scene. The screensaver no longer spends its first seconds morphing from a placeholder scene into the current weather, with clouds from another condition and a drifting sun. The screen stays black until the first weather and sun readings arrive and the clouds are ready, then the scene, clock and weather chips fade in together. A frame from the previous screensaver no longer flashes about a second in, when the dashboard stops rendering behind it.
- Screenshots match the screen again. Since v2026.9.78 the remote admin preview and the Screenshot camera could miss live video and show dashboards with squashed or shifted cards. Screenshots now always copy the window, which holds the dashboard with its video, and fill any transparent area from Flutter's surface, which is where Weather Mood draws once the dashboard is hidden.
- The ADB update helper no longer fills storage on Android 10 and older. Android kept every downloaded update open after the helper deleted it, so each update held on to about 190 MB of storage until the helper stopped or the device restarted. The helper now releases each update file before deleting it.
