What's new in Kiosk Satellite 2026.9.65
This release adds French localization and translation credits and improves camera playback and stability during long kiosk sessions.
New: French localization
- French is now available in the language selector on the device and in Remote Admin. Thanks to Limoniak for the translation.
- Settings > About > Localization Credits lists contributors by language with links to their GitHub profiles.
Bug Fixes
- Camera views recover from stalled startup. If a WebRTC stream does not display a frame within 10 seconds, the view retries with the existing transport fallback. Connection status stays visible until playback starts. (#629)
- Microphone audio stays bounded during UI stalls. Older queued audio is discarded when delivery falls behind, preventing an unlimited backlog. Canceling capture also clears pending audio.
- Fewer background threads during long kiosk sessions. Recurring checks and device discovery reuse workers. Discovery restarts clean up old connections and crash records include more detail to help diagnose remaining resource issues.
- Unavailable media pickers no longer crash KS. Failed photo and video picker launches report an error and allow another attempt.
