What's New in Kiosk Satellite 2026.9.43
This release adds control over Voice Satellite's muted microphone warnings, shows Remote Admin save failures beside the affected setting and fixes black screens after Home launcher updates. It also reduces startup work when DLNA and ESPHome are disabled.
Added
- Muted Microphone Warnings: A new Voice Satellite toggle lets you disable muted microphone warnings. It appears above Debug logging on-device and in Remote Admin. Requires the latest version of Voice Satellite.
Fixed
- Remote Admin Save Errors: Rejected values, server errors and connection failures now show an inline error beneath the affected setting. Text edits stay in place for correction or retry and the cached value updates only after a successful response. Addresses.
- Home Launcher Updates: Updates, restarts and recovery return to the Home task while KS is the default launcher. Updates also remove regular app tasks left by older versions, preventing a separate instance from taking over the display and leaving Home with a black screen.
Changed
- Less Startup Work for Disabled Services: DLNA renderer identity and ESPHome device information load when each service starts. Nearby Bluetooth device lookups remain available while ESPHome is disabled.
