What's new in Kiosk Satellite 2026.9.4
A small follow-up to the Now Playing revamp: a double tap to dismiss option for the view, a Font weight dropdown and an Inter font option for the Clock screensaver.
New: Double tap to dismiss Now Playing
- A Double tap to dismiss toggle in the Now Playing group, off by default (#409): a double tap anywhere on the Now Playing view dismisses it and the close button is not shown, for the screen everyone is used to tapping. Taps on the seek bar, the toggles and the queue rows never count, so a quick double press on Next skips twice instead of closing the view.
New: Clock screensaver font weight and new Inter font
- A Font weight dropdown on the Clock screensaver page, beside the font picker, which is now named Font Family, on the device and in the remote admin alike: Default keeps each face's own weight, the digital face light (heavy in Nunito), the flip cards regular and the roller heavy, while Light, Regular, Medium, Bold or Black set one weight for the digits on every face. Rubik and Nunito are variable fonts, so every step is a real weight. Applies live to a clock already on screen.
- An Inter option in the Clock screensaver's font picker, a clean grotesque in the style of Helvetica Neue (SIL Open Font License), drawn at its display optical size so the big digits get the tighter cut made for them.
