What's New in Kiosk Satellite 2026.9.36
This release adds independent Now Playing size controls, makes speaker selection float over the player and fixes Portal screensavers waking themselves after turning the screen off.
New Feature: Now Playing Size Controls
- Independent Text and Button Sizes: New Text scale and Button scale sliders under Media Player > Now Playing adjust sizes from 50% to 200%. Text scale changes the title, artist, album, lyrics and queue text. Button scale changes playback buttons and the progress bar. Both work in vertical mode, horizontal mode and alongside a screensaver. Artwork, spacing and controls adapt to the available space. Secondary buttons have more room between their touch targets and shared screensaver layouts use a larger base control size. Adds #488.
Changed
- Floating Speaker Selection: The speaker selection pill keeps its top left position without reserving space in Now Playing. A touch or navigation key press shows it for five seconds before it fades out. Further interaction restarts the timer. Applies to both orientations and shared screensaver layouts.
Fixed
- Portal Screensavers Waking Themselves: Firmware screen-state notifications no longer count as person detections or refresh existing presence. The screensaver stays asleep after turning the screen off and real person arrivals still dismiss it. Fixes #489.
