What's New in Kiosk Satellite 2026.9.33
This release improves RTSP camera compatibility, adds software encoder fallback and fixes camera startup ordering.
Improvements
- RTSP Camera Compatibility: Reworked the connection between the camera and video encoder using a graphics bridge. Motion, face and gesture detection, snapshots, microphone audio and authenticated streaming retain their existing functionality.
- Automatic Encoder Fallback: Hardware encoding remains preferred. If compatible hardware encoders cannot start, the app tries software encoding. Software encoding can use more CPU.
Fixed
- Camera Startup Ordering: Camera demand now synchronizes after the initial screen-state check and event subscriptions are ready, preventing detection from starting with incomplete startup state.
