What's New in Kiosk Satellite 2026.9.26
This release lists the app on Android TV homes, keeps dashboard components that discover entities on the fly up to date under filtered updates and makes camera errors name the cameras Android actually reports.
New Feature: Android TV Listing
- A TV App on TV Homes: The app now registers as an Android TV app, so the stock Android TV home and third-party homes such as Projectivy list it in their TV rows and draw the Kiosk Satellite banner instead of the square icon. Phone and tablet launchers are unaffected.

- Camera Errors Name the Cameras Android Lists: When Android listed a camera that the app's camera library still refused, motion detection, snapshots and RTSP streaming all reported it as no camera on the device at all, the same words a closed privacy shutter gets. The error, in the app log and under Stream Status, now lists each camera Android reports with its facing, hardware level and whether it is backward compatible, which is what the library filters on. A camera entry whose details cannot be read no longer hides the other cameras from the camera check.

- Live Updates for Components That Discover Entities Dynamically: With Filter dashboard updates on, components such as Maxi Media Player could keep showing old playback information until the dashboard was refreshed because their entities were missing from the filter's allowlist. The filter now learns which entities the active view reads and refreshes newly discovered dependencies. Views that scan all entity states run unfiltered automatically, while other views keep filtering normally. The device settings and the remote admin explain when a full-state scan disables filtering for a view.
