What's new in Kiosk Satellite 2026.9.2
The Kiosk Satellite UI now uses its own colors: the primary accent is the teal of the app icon's keyline, the remote admin opens on a real boot splash instead of flashing the login box and the bottom toast slims down to sit with the rest of the UI.
Redesigned: Teal primary accent
- The primary accent is the teal of the app icon's keyline now instead of the sage green, which matched nothing in the logo: buttons, switches, sliders, links and focus rings follow on the device and in the remote admin alike, exact on dark and darkened a step for text on light surfaces.
- Sage stays as the green of success states and of the settings rail's icon discs, so the four-color accent cycle keeps its green next to the teal instead of doubling it.
- The pull-to-refresh spinner and the remote admin's Voice Satellite Start button follow the new primary as well.
New: Remote admin boot splash
- The remote admin opens on a boot splash now, the Kiosk Satellite banner with a spinner turning below it, one banner per theme, instead of flashing the login box for a moment over a session that was already signed in.
- The page is only revealed fully populated: device info, quick-control tile states, brightness, settings and the tab the URL asked for all land before the one swap that shows them, where before the overview appeared with dead tiles and a brightness slider parked at the wrong value. Only the screenshot panel fills in after, since its capture makes the device read back and encode its screen.
- The login box appears only when there really is no session, a manual login returns to the splash while the app loads and a device that cannot be reached yet keeps the splash up and retries behind it.
Changed
- The toast that floats over the bottom of the screen is smaller now, its icon, text and padding brought down to sit with the rest of the UI instead of reading a size class larger. It follows the Scale UI slider like the rest of the app's own surfaces.
