What's new in Kiosk Satellite 2026.9.11
The Media Player Lyrics get a page of their own and work the same for every player source. A followed Sonos no longer needs Music Assistant to show them.
New: Lyrics page
- A Lyrics page under Media Player, on the device and in the remote admin alike, for every player source: this device, a Music Assistant player, a Home Assistant media player or a Sonos followed directly.
- Enable lyrics, on by default, is the master switch. Off, the Now Playing view has no lyrics button and nothing is looked up.
- Lyrics source picks where the words come from: LRCLIB, the default, asks the public database directly with the track's title, artist and duration, or Music Assistant asks its providers, the user's own .lrc files among them, and needs the server address and token on the Music Assistant page.
- Fallback to Music Assistant, on by default and shown with LRCLIB as the source, asks Music Assistant when LRCLIB cannot be reached, for a device kept off the internet. A track LRCLIB simply has no lyrics for is left without them.
- The Lyrics timing row moved here from the Now Playing page.
Changed
- The Sonos page's Enable lyrics switch is gone. A followed Sonos room takes its lyrics from the Lyrics page's source like every other player, so it no longer needs a Music Assistant connection for them.
