New Feature: Set the Clock Background Image from Home Assistant
- The Clock screensaver's background photo can now be set from Home Assistant (#150): every device gets a Clock background text entity over MQTT holding the image's file path on the device, so automations can rotate the picture behind the clock, push an alert image, or clear it back to the solid color with an empty value. Writing a path overwrites the photo picked on the device, a path that does not exist yet simply shows no background until the file appears, and changes apply immediately, even while the clock is on screen.
- The Remote Administration UI's Background photo row now edits the same path as a text field, where it used to just say a photo was selected on the device. Getting the images onto the device is up to you; the remote admin's File Manager can upload them.
New Feature: "Hide All Extras" on the Black Screensaver
- The Black screensaver can now show nothing at all (#151): a new Hide all extras toggle hides the small clock, the At a Glance entities and any other overlay, so a kiosk that schedules Black overnight looks fully off without unconfiguring those extras for the night. The toggle appears in a Black group under the screensaver mode picker whenever the mode is Black, on the device and in the Remote Administration UI alike, and it is off by default. With it on, the app also skips holding a Home Assistant subscription open for the hidden At a Glance entities.
Other Improvements
- The Clock screensaver's background photo now fills the screen the way the photo screensavers do: a photo shaped close enough to the panel covers it edge to edge, and one that keeps its full frame sits over itself blurred and dimmed instead of being cropped, so a portrait photo behind a landscape clock no longer loses its top and bottom.
