What's new in Kiosk Satellite 2026.8.46
A volume slider for the tap sounds introduced in 2026.8.45, which played the click sample at full scale and landed much louder than intended.
New: Tap sound volume slider
- A "Tap sound volume" slider under Home Assistant Configuration > Haptics sets how loud the tap sound plays, defaulting to 25%. Android never plays its own touch sounds at full sample volume; it attenuates them by a per-device amount, so the initial full-scale playback was noticeably louder than the clicks of the app's own interface.
- The slider is read per tap, so a change applies to the very next touch with no reload, and slider-step ticks keep their fixed quieter fraction of whatever it says.
