One fix, for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and any other tablet whose camera pipeline is expensive at full frame rate.
Fix: Camera motion detection no longer trades 9% CPU for 100% (#164)
- The previous release detected a camera whose auto exposure keeps hunting under the slow frame-rate request and restarted it with default exposure. Field measurements on the affected hardware showed that was exactly backwards: the hunt itself runs at around 9% CPU, while the camera pipeline at its full delivery rate is the 100%, so the fallback re-created the very problem it was escaping about a minute after the camera came on.
- The fallback now steps down gently instead of giving up: a detected hunt restarts the camera at the lowest fixed frame rate the sensor offers, which stays as cheap as the slow mode while removing the frame-rate freedom the exposure loop was oscillating in. If even the pinned rate hunts, the camera keeps it and simply stops watching; full-rate default exposure is never used at all.
- The camera log lines now say which exposure level is active, so a report from the field pinpoints the behavior immediately.
