What's new in Kiosk Satellite 2026.8.16
A short follow-up to 2026.8.15, tidying up around the Music Assistant shortcut it introduced.
Improvements: "Sendspin player" renamed to "Music Assistant"
- The Sendspin Player settings page is now Music Assistant, and it opens on the Music Assistant group: the server address, the token, the kiosk menu shortcut and lyrics. The player's own settings follow underneath, unchanged, under a Sendspin player heading. The shortcut and the lyrics both hang off that server, so the page is named for it rather than for one of the things it feeds.
- That page and Home Assistant Configuration now carry their product's own mark instead of a generic glyph, drawn monochrome so they sit beside the Material icons rather than shouting over them. A page named after a product is easier to find by its logo.
- The connection check under the token no longer says it is only there for lyrics: the kiosk menu shortcut needs the same address, and the hint now says so.
Bug Fixes
- A page opened over the dashboard and then left alone, such as the Music Assistant shortcut after whoever queued a song walked off, stayed under the screensaver and was still there when the screensaver lifted, sometimes hours later. It now hands over the way an abandoned app launcher already did, so the dashboard is what comes back.
- It also stops that page from rendering behind the screensaver, which the dashboard's own pause could never do for it: the pause hides the dashboard's own address, not a page layered above it.
- Touching the page still counts as activity, so the screensaver never interrupts someone using it, and a view rotation's external page is left alone, since the rotation moves it along by itself.
