What's new in Kiosk Satellite 2026.11.10

This release keeps a device online when you follow a Music Assistant group that includes it. It also lets plugins read whether Now Playing is on screen.

Improvements

• Now Playing visibility for plugins (#1335). getScreensaverAppearance and the screensaver.appearance event now include nowPlaying, which is true while the player is on screen, including a paused player and a shared layout. nowPlayingShared is true while the screensaver stays in sight beside the player. A plugin drawn over the screensaver can use them to get out of the way of the player. Music playing with no player on screen leaves both false.

Fixes

• A followed Music Assistant group keeps this device online (#1334). Selecting a Music Assistant group with this device in it took the device's Sendspin player offline, which left the group with a member that could not play. The Sendspin player now stays online and plays with the group while the floating player and Now Playing follow the group. Selecting any other player still takes it offline.
• This device's own Music Assistant player is found on every server (#1334). A player with a hash id and a different name in Music Assistant was not recognized as this device, so the speaker group menu had nothing to read and the device's own player was offered as a player to follow.
• Night mode in plugins beside a shared player. getScreensaverAppearance and screensaver.appearance reported night as false under any Now Playing player, even when the Clock screensaver showed its Night mode colors in a shared layout. night is now false only when the player fills the screen.
