What's new in Kiosk Satellite 2026.10.44
This release adds a slider to fine-tune the stop word's sensitivity, keeps the Echo images on the microphone settings they need and stops the dashboard carousel from showing views that are hidden from the logged-in user.
Improvements
- Fine-tune the stop word sensitivity. A new Fine-tune stop word sensitivity slider under Stop word interruption in Voice Satellite > Wake Word adjusts the stop word sensitivity in smaller steps, from -10 to +10, and goes past Slightly and Very sensitive at its ends. Raise it if you often have to repeat "stop" and lower it if answers stop by mistake. It shows while Stop word interruption is on and works with every wake word engine. The default of 0 keeps the current behavior and Fine-tune sensitivity still only moves the wake words. The setting belongs to each device and fleets do not sync it. See Voice Satellite.
- The Echo images always record from the raw microphone. On the Echo Dot, Echo Show 5 and Echo Show 8 images, Capture mode and Capture format are no longer shown in Microphone settings and stay on Raw microphone and Automatic. A device that was switched to Voice communication or 48 kHz stereo goes back on its next start.
Fixes
- The dashboard carousel skips views hidden from the user (#1206). A view whose visibility in Home Assistant is limited to certain users no longer shows up in the carousel for everyone else. The carousel now uses the same rule as the dashboard's header, so swiping only reaches the views the logged-in user can see in its tabs.
