What's new in Kiosk Satellite 2026.10.15
This release replaces every dashboard view picker in the app with one picker, on the device and in the remote admin. It shows the icons you set in Home Assistant, lets you search and works the same wherever you choose a view.
New Feature: One dashboard picker everywhere
- Dashboards and views at a glance. Dashboards are listed on the left with their Home Assistant icons and view counts. The views of the selected dashboard show as tiles on the right, with subviews under their own heading. A view without an icon shows the first letter of its title.
- Search. Type to find views by name, dashboard or path. The results are grouped under their dashboard.
- Phones and narrow screens. The picker fills the screen and opens one dashboard at a time, starting with the view chosen now so keeping it takes one tap.
- Used everywhere. The Home Assistant Dashboard card, Setup, the Home Assistant Dashboard screensaver's Dashboard view, Now Playing's Dashboard view, the Go to a dashboard view gesture, Views to rotate and the remote admin's Go to view all open the same picker. Cancel closes it without changing anything.
- A clearer Dashboard card. The Home Assistant Dashboard card is now one Default dashboard row, the view the kiosk shows when it starts, instead of a list of every dashboard.
- Stored views at a glance. Settings that store a view show it as a field with the view's icon, its dashboard and its name. A view that no longer exists in Home Assistant is flagged so you can pick another.
- Simpler rotation. Views to rotate lists only the picked views, with Add views to pick more, and sits under its own heading beside External pages.
- Go to view on the Overview. The remote admin's Go to view shows the view the kiosk is on right now. It opens the picker with that view marked, and tapping another view goes there at once.
